Santa Barbara County Chess Club Championship

Welcome to the Santa Barbara County Chess Club Championship!

This is an unrated tourney, meaning its not USCF rated and so you don't need a memebrship, anyone who wants to play some competitive chess is welcome

registration closes promptly at 7:30, must register online and pay $5 entree in person ( free for Friendship manor residents)

Round 1 and 2 on Oct 21 , the first starts at 7:45 and the second after the end of round 1

Round 3 and 4 on Wed Oct 28, third starts at 7:30 and the fourth right after the end of round 3

We have 2 sections but the club champion will be the winner of the OPEN

Open for advanced players, aprox. atleast 1500 online, but anybody is welcome to join if they want to test their competetive skills

Amateur for people just starting playing chess or on-the-board chess and want a more mellow challenge

Time Control is 30 minutes with a 5 second delay (clock only starts ticking down after 5 seconds for every move)
