Most people looking at a tournament are looking at it on a phone, standing in a playing hall. June was spent making that the case the design serves first.

Standings on a phone

The standings table now measures the space it has and drops columns in a deliberate order rather than overflowing or shrinking into illegibility. Whatever it drops is still there — tap a row to expand it and every column appears in the detail view, tiebreaks included.

  • Round results are color-coded squares — win, loss, draw, bye, and a distinct orange for a game in progress
  • Paired rounds appear in the standings as soon as they are paired
  • An Expand/Collapse Tiebreaks toggle, and tiebreak values in the score popover where the columns do not fit
  • The printed wall chart shows each opponent and the color played

Team standings, consolidated

The Teams tab gained a consolidated view that scores teams across every section at once, rather than section by section.

Sharing a tournament or a club link now produces a real preview card — event name, club, and date — generated per page rather than a single site-wide image.

Around the tournament page

  • The tab bar shows when it fits and becomes a View dropdown when it does not
  • The section selector and the Actions menu stay on one row on a narrow screen
  • Standings and registration links moved into a contained nav bar
  • The tournament name moved into the page header

Clubs

Club pages were redesigned around a centered banner profile, with an independent square icon for tight header spaces and configurable club links — your own site, socials, or anything else you want members to find.

Timezones, finished

March gave clubs and tournaments a timezone. June made sure everything reads it: recurring series occurrences are projected in the club's timezone, registration timestamps display in the tournament's, and a new tournament inherits its club's timezone by default.

Elsewhere

  • Directors can override an ID or membership validation status when they know better than the lookup
  • A declined payment is surfaced in a prominent overlay rather than a line of small text
  • Copy a tournament's registration link straight from the club calendar
  • Adding rounds to a per-round registration charges for the new rounds only
  • Public API access with cross-origin requests is a Pro-plan feature
