May widened what a rating can be, and gave players a home page worth visiting.
NWSRS
Northwest Scholastic Rating System ratings are now a first-class rating type, refreshed daily from the published lists:
- An NWSRS lookup page — sign in to search by player, by school, or for a school's whole roster
- NWSRS ID entry and validation on the public registration form, with a wizard for players who do not have an ID yet
- NWSRS as a section rating type, with its own standings column and pairing behavior
- School and grade pulled through into the registration's school and grade fields

Online ratings
Chess.com and Lichess ratings — including chess.com puzzle ratings — can be linked to a player profile and shown alongside their federation ratings. ChessKid ratings are fetched through a server-side proxy. See Online Ratings.
Importing an event from anywhere
Two new import paths joined Caissa: Chess.com live tournaments — including importing later results into a section you already have — and Lichess Swiss tournaments.
The home dashboard
Signing in now lands on a dashboard rather than a list. Tiles show what is next, upcoming and past tournaments with results merged in, recent results, ratings grouped by provider, your clubs, and the players you manage. A player selector at the top switches between yourself and any family member on your account.
Player check-in
Players can be checked in on arrival, and the check-in state appears on the projector and TV views so the crowd can see who is still expected. The Player Check-In guide covers running it.
Formats
- Double Swiss — two games per round with reversed colors, common for blitz events — with pairings, standings, printing, and export support
- Quads — split a section into rating-sorted groups of four (or any size) before the first round
Players can do more themselves
Players can withdraw themselves from a tournament, and per-round registrants can withdraw from individual rounds, without emailing the director.
Elsewhere
- Location is a first-class tournament field, and clubs gained a calendar view of their events
- Tournament icons and banner images for clubs on a paid plan
- Pair All — pair every ready section in one action
- Bulk guest registration for directors, capped at 100 at a time
- Phone number is a configurable registration field
- Recurring series gained a "fifth week" scheduling option and a
{year}placeholder in the name pattern - Directors can preview a draft registration page before opening it
- Billing gained a monthly/annual cadence switch in both the subscribe and plan-change dialogs
